Hand-building Pottery Workshop 2hrs

Service Description

This pottery taster session is a basic introduction to hand-building and is suitable to complete beginners. In this two hour workshop you will create either a decorative or a functional piece of pottery. I will cover only one of three techniques, pinch pots, slabbing or coiling on each session, in order to fully understand the method involved before I move onto a different technique the following week. Therefore if you want to you may book all three sessions in order t o try all three hand-building techniques. During each session you will make and decorate a small piece and then have it taken away to be fired and glazed. It will be available to be collected approximately 4 weeks later. WK1. ( Sunday April 14th) Pinched bird/animal WK2. (Sunday April 21st) Slab Built container WK3. (Sunday April 28th) Coiled bowl/vase (Please note) Suitable for adults and children 14+(under 16 with an adult) Please wear clothing that you are happy to get dirty! Fingernails should be kept short for health and safety reasons.
